Final/group project specifications

For the culminating group project of our course, I would like to see each of you develop a prediction of what the future holds in terms of media and communication technologies for each of your scenarios (Election and Olympics) -- so say each in the year 2012. Create a new blog post with your thoughts, supported by any media elements (picture, video, audio). I'm most interested in imaginative concepts that build upon the technologies we've been looking at in class. Be creative!

Again, each of you should create your own prediction -- utilize your fellow group mates to generate discussion and ideas. And tap into the tools we've looked at (blogs, video, podcasts, etc.)

As an example, if this class was taking place in 1996 -- one could have speculated that in the future each candidate would have elaborate web sites for their campaigns (remember the web was still relatively 'new' in the mid 1990s). This prediction could have been supported by some photoshop mock-ups of what a full fledged candidate web site would have looked like -- detailing specific elements of what a robust web site in 2000 would have (ie. a map with links to campaign stops, video clips, anything else that seemed 'out there' in 1996).
